We are currently seeking hands-on team players with 3+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax engagements for our diverse client base.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervise the preparation of all entity and individual tax returns (1120S, 1120, 1065, 1041, 1040)
  • Prepare complex entity and individual tax returns
  • Review all returns for correctness and completeness
  • Oversee tax engagements throughout all aspects of the process, including tax research, planning, strategy and projections, and providing tax advice to clients
  • Develop and cultivate professional client relationships
  • Engage in significant client consultation
  • Communicate and correspond with IRS and/or State taxing agency
  • Take an active role in the MKW mentoring and staff development program to accelerate your professional growth
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's in Tax beneficial, but not required
  • 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience required, and reviewing and supervising experience preferred
  • CPA license or CPA candidate required
  • Pass Thru Entity Experience required
  • Manufacturing, Construction and Real Estate Industry experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly, juggle multiple priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, analytical, client service, time management and PC skills including MS Office and accounting software proficiency (QuickBooks, CCH Axcess and ProSystem fx proficiency are a plus)

Compensation

$90,000 - $120,000 base salary, plus overtime
